N3B didn't make it >_> lol I just thought it would be better organized like this <_< Anyway I been thinking up some concepts for the round but a recent smokeout led to lost memory so I gotta rethink it up.

We could have a mission based area and play it out like LMS only each room is a different environment and when you step into a room you have to use another door than the one you came from. Some rooms could contain sims and traps others could contain weapons and medical supplies or mystery boxes.

Sorry about that Ranger, credit where credit is due & all. But you could have moved the topics too. I'd be more than pleased to accept suggestions for round 11. However, round 10 is already planned and ready. One of 2 things will happen, and it primarily depends on the turnout for the round. Bigger turnout = Cooler round, better prizes, possibly more difficult

oy well I hit a rut when I got there I couldn't see buttons and couldn't remember how to move topics so I figured one of you admins would know how to do it and move it if you saw fit to. It worked out well from the looks of it. Not me being lazy just would rather keep it all intact.

Everyone:
We still have a measly 5 people for this coming round. Unless more people sign up, we either will not start, or just have a boring generic round. We need more people to make this worth playing.
Current Signups:

OK, enough waiting around for people who won't show. I'm going to start the round on Monday. If we don't have 7 or more people by then, I'm going to scrap the original theme and go with a different sort of event match.
Original idea swiped from Bent, refined by me:
Hold the Briefcase, LMS style
This will be an even-ground match, with low HP and weak weapons to start out with. However, instead of the usual LMS style of play, this will be a timed match. As such, all players will have UNLIMITED respawns.
There will be a special item in the match: the Briefcase. The only way to score points is to have the Briefcase in your possession. For every 3 playing posts that pass with the Briefcase in you possession, 1 point will be scored. The player with the highest score at the end of the match wins. Kills do not score points, though they will earn you Tokens.
For this match, a special Armory will be open. Only Tokens will be accepted as currency, and the inventory will be significantly different from normal. At the end of the round, all unused tokens, as well as everything else in everyone's inventory, will be lost, and the old status restored.
The holder of the Briefcase is allowed to fight back against other players. However, there is one major disadvantage to having the Briefcase: only one-handed weapons may be used (the Briefcase must be held in the other). Most of the weapons that qualify are fairly obvious, but if anyone has a question about a specific weapon, feel free to ask.
The player who defeats the Briefcase holder automatically takes possession of the Briefcase themselves, unless their attack results in a suicide-kill, or the Briefcase holder dies of "natural causes," ie. traps, environmental hazards, indirect damage weapons, bad status effects, etc. Again, most of these are fairly self-explanatory, but if you're curious about a specific scenario, just ask. In addition (though it would be a mystery why you would do such a thing), if the player who defeats the Briefcase holder specifically posts that they don't want to pick up the Briefcase in the killing post, they won't. In any event, if one of the above scenarios occurs, the Briefcase will go up for grabs. Anyone can pick it up then (doing so is a post-ending action).
The RIG will be available in the form of item boxes once again. As before, rummaging through the item boxes is a post-ending action. However, the rules for the item boxes have changed slightly: You may only go for the item boxes if you have an empty weapon, an unlimited-use weapon, or are unarmed. Weapons with no ammo left in their clips are not automatically discarded (and indeed, there are ways to get extra ammo this time around), but in order to use the item boxes, you must discard all weapons in your possession. However, this does not apply to any other types of items, and you can carry as many items as the normal inventory capacity allows. Please note that dropping weapons in an attempt to circumvent these rules will earn you some punishment from the Judge, and repeated infractions will cause you to be disqualified from the round.
Sims will be active participants during the round, and will be trying to score points in the same way as the players.
The winner of the round will earn the usual LMS victory reward, and all players will gain the usual participation bonuses. There may possibly be some special bonuses available as well... But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Hopefully, this idea meets with everyone's approval, and should help what would normally be a very brief round become an amusing game for all.
Any ideas on how long you guys would want this to run? I'm considering either a 2 week fixed time limit, or possibly a 150 post (10 pages) fixed time limit. Which would you guys prefer? Or do you think those are too short / too long? Bear in mind that with the post-limited round, I will be forced to delete all OOC posts as soon as I see them to keep order decently.

I like the idea and am in favour of the 2 weeks instead of 10 pages. I like the new RIG rule its neat. How much life would we start with is what I am wondering.

I'm thinking 50 HP, with the potential to increase it with cheese for future respawns. It's not a terrible number for the low powered weapons that are most common. I might consider raising that a bit, but it won't be more than 100 for sure, otherwise people will be too hard to kill in the beginning.

Oooh hold the briefcase. Should be a fun new twist. I definitely like the idea of the RIG in this. It was great last time and should be fun here too. I too agree with 2 weeks as well. Also call me psychic but somehow I just knew that you were thinking of giving everyone 50 HP (Yeah i was thinking about it).
Maybe for the next LMS we could do like a capture the hill or what was that mode in PD? Capture the hill or hold the hill or something like that. Perhaps we could do that next?

The round has begun!
A couple of extra items to note:
Players earn 2 Tokens for slaying another player.
Sims will actively attack according to a schedule for the duration of the round, in addition to their usual auto-counter abilities. On top of this, all of the Sims at the start of the round will continue to respawn when killed, just like the players. However, no new Sims will be added during the course of the round.
Happy hunting!
