But, was the necessity for interstellar warfare bred into them BECAUSE of the planet being ruined?

An excellent question, with, I'm sure, a very interesting answer. Something to address, perhaps?

What I was thinking was that we all start out in some specific area for our own individual reasons (like a pub, for example); we then each spend a few posts introducing our characters to the thread and getting into their minds a bit, and then something happens there that leads us into the events. It needn't and probably shouldn't go straight into things from there, but you know, just something to set-up what's going on; something simple and subtle that develops more over time.
Other than that, my other thoughts are that I'd like to try to avoid outlining things, because then a part of the improvisational aspect gets lost. I'd like to prevent just one or two people pushing the plot forward consistantly, or it revolving around one or two characters, since it then becomes "their" story -- the others wind up just sort of tagging along and not having much of a real impact on the events.
Mull that over for a bit while I shower and get some Java Monster: MEAN BEAN!!

Where should I post my character...on the old Generations sticky or are we starting everything fresh?

What's to discuss? I'm going to try and get a new character posted up before I leave on Wednesday, and hopefully we should be able to start soon, or at least as soon as we have a few people ready.

I saw that posts started tapering off for a few days, didn't want it to lose momentum even though I don't do it.

Yea, I'd say we're pretty much good to go. Anyone object to the notion of picking some pretty basic location that we all start at and let things flow from there?

Go for it. I probably won't be able to jump in for a little while, but don't let me stop you.

Hmm...being that Garrant is technically ageless and probably changed so much since I actually used him here, would it be at all possible to use him for Generations (after a fairly heavy update, of course)? >_>

Well, this isn't technically generations. You could use him, I guess, but at the same time he'll probably greatly overshadow the other newbie characters...
