in relation to DJay's CT question: is it a mysterious song, or a sort of energetic song? i'm not sure which you mean; i'm in Zeal palace with the Mammoth machine, and it's an eerie tune, but i've been thinking you meant another thing...

In case you don't feel like counting all them, there are a total of 19 aside from the ones that have already been said. In my post that is.

There's the Ocean Palace theme and the Black Omen theme, don't confuse the two. Personally I think our beloved DjayD has the two mixed up, but whatever.

WAIT!!! I think I just figured it out! Draxas may be talking about the Zeal theme, which is only played in the Zeal overworld EXEPT when you visit Melchior to have him fix the sword, then the Zeal theme begins to play!!! w00t!!

alot of wrong answers here. Note's right about the artifacts. Long beam of course. Spider ball is in both MII and MP. Any of the four missile shot combos aren't in any other than MP, so there's four. The charge missile and ice missiles are only in MF. The X-ray is both in SM and MP, but heat vision and scan vision are unique to MP. Wave beam is in many Metroid games, as is the Plasma beam. So is the Space Jump and of course Screw attack. Only SM has the Super Beam that you get at the very end, and only SSBM has the Seeking Missile. So...lets count the ones I got up...4,5,6,7. Seven total.

You are all wrong about the CT question. I am talking about the Ocean Palace song (the dungeon part, with the monsters, while it's still underwater, not when it's flying as the Black Omen). vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/Ocean.MIDIt's a poor rendition, but you get the idea. It's one of my favorite tracks in the game, so you better believe I didn't confuse it with a different song. As for the Metroid question, wow, you guys are all OVER the place. First of all, Metroid games only, Smash Bros. doesn't count. +1 point for PhoeniX: IR scanner (Metroid Prime) +1 point for PhoeniX: Phazon Suit (Metroid Prime) +1 point for PhoeniX: Wavebuster (Metroid Prime) +1 point for PhoeniX: Flamethrower (Metroid Prime) +1 point for Razor: Ice Missile (Metroid Fusion) As for the rest... The Artifacts (Metroid Prime) are not powerups, they're simply items to collect. They don't upgrade any of your abilities, so they don't count. Sort of the same story for the Scanning Visor (Metroid Prime), it's not a powerup because it does not enhance any of your abilities. The Spider Ball is in both Metroid 2 and Metroid Prime. The X-Ray scanner is in both Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. The Long Beam is in both Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission (yes, they ARE two separate games). The Plasma Beam is in Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission (yeesh...). The Wave Beam is IN EVERY SINGLE METROID GAME TO DATE! GAH! The Space Jump is in Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission (*sigh*). Super Missiles are in Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission. The Hyper Beam is in Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. Seriously, you guys can do better. There are still more...

. . . I hate you. I SO got those right! Considering I hate the metroid series, and I've never played any of the games all the way through, yea. And so, to show how much Razor has influenced me: *kicks j00 in t3h b0j4ng13s*

+1 point for Notesurfer for looking in a FAQ and finding out the names of the Artifacts. Whiner.

Hey...you forgot the Charge-missile combo powerups, there's power, wave, plasma, and ice, and the Missile Charger from Metroid Fusion. I named 5 you never touched!

Razor, I need NAMES.
The Power Beam combo from Prime is the Super Missile. I covered that one already.
And PhoeniX already took credit for the Wavebuster and Flamethrower (Wave and Plasma combos respectively).
Nice try though.
