For lack of a better way to do this(I hate phones) I have made a topic...
Looking at ye elden "Student's Handbook: High School Science Prjoects" the things we need for the paper include:
Title Page
- Include Title and Author's name
Abstract
- Include a concise Statement of the problem, Mats, methods, key results, and conclusion(s)
- No more than 250 words
Introduction
Theory
- Briefly review pertinent literature
- use correct format for literature citation
Problem/Hypothesis
- State clearly and concisely the question being investigated
- State the predicted outcome
Purpose
- Explain interest in the problem and/or reason(s) for selecting the problem
Identification of Variables and Controlled Conditions
- State independent and dependent variables
- list controlled conditions
Methods and Mats
-State clearly in suffficient detail, description of the methods employed in the research; the equipment and supplies used
- Avoid an explanation for standard techniques
- Include the number of trials, sample size, and statistical enalysis employed
- Avoid listing equipment and supplies
Results
- Summarize raw dat from logbook
- Include diagrams, figures, (graphs), tables, etc
- Include statistical analysis
Discussion and Conclusion
- Interpret the results and include comparisons to other research
- Apply logic as well as pertinent laws, principles or theories
- Evaluate the success of the experiment and possible procedural improvements
- Suggest impact(s) on future scientific studies
- Use correct format for literature citations
- Clearly and concisely state the answer to the problem and/or accept/reject the hypothesis
Literature Cited
- List alphabetically cited literature and communications
Acknowledgments
- Credit specific assistance recieved from scientists, instructors parents, or other sources
Appendix
- Include all raw data
I'm not saying we should/have to do all that, but thats what it says. As already stated I plan to do the Introduction part if you have no quarrel with that. Most the sections simply need to be a paragraph or two IIRC.
Finally what is our problem again, I want to reword it, but I need to know what it is first.
