For the record this is a brontosaurus.

That's impossible; the brontosaurus does not, and never did, exist. Palentologists have determined that their brontosaurus skeletons were actually mishmashes of parts from various other dinosaurs.
Also, for the record, I think my eyes are bleeding from that drawing. It is a nice hat, though.

Yeah, next you'll be telling me Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines are actually the same person. He is wearing the hat to protect his head from asteroids.

Yeah, next you'll be telling me Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines are actually the same person. And why would I dash your youthful gullibility againt the pointy rocks of reality that way? ... Well, because I can, really. You might want to take this one up in the gossip thread if you want the real truth about Brooks and Gaines. He's a pretty smart not-a-brontosaurus, then.

Either way, a brontosaurus is an established being, similar to a leprechaun or a unicorn. Everyone knows what it is regardless of whether or not it's real.

I feel the Unicorn in that picture is not being malicious, it is merely trying to help the brontosaurus by knocking it out of the way. Unfortunately it forgot that unicorns have horns and as a results its going to hurt the brontosaurus rather than help it. Its sad really... Either way, a brontosaurus is an established being, similar to a leprechaun or a unicorn. Everyone knows what it is regardless of whether or not it's real. Quoted for Truth.

Just because you feel that a brontosaurus exists deep down in your gut, doesn't make it the truth.
Unless you're dealing with the Colbert Report, anyway.

It's not that I/we think it exists, but that we can associate an image and story/history with one when we hear the word brontosaurus, just like we can associate an image and story/history with leprechauns and unicorns, and even dragons. Certainly they're not real, but that doesn't stop them from having their own entity of intangible existence.
