Uhh Raven I dont think that would work since a proxy mine would blow when the cleanbot started to move.

well, if you want to get technicaly, his proxy's in the elevators wouldnt've worked either, since those have two open walls which would be moving against the elevator. remember: the PDBA has extremely mind-bending impossible physics

Ah-ha, Ranger, charades you are.
The proximity mines do not operate based on movement, but rather on heat. Sensors on the mine detect body heat from a nearby source, which detonates the mine. That's why, in the game, you can put a mine on a door, and the door will still open (considering you get close enough to open it without blowing up.) You can place mines on the cleaning bots, as you can doors, people, ships, and anything else that moves. It's just a matter of who's around, not what's moving. It's not "mind-bending impossible physics," it's merely more efficient. It's like that in real-life too: there's motion-sensors in security systems, but there's heat sensors too that detect moving life. Their body heat sets off the alarms, just like they blow up the mines.
There is one word for this situation: PWNED.

Actually, from a purely game-mechanics standpoint, any sort of motion would set off a Prox mine. This includes the motion of the elevator it's on the floor of, the motion of the cleaning bot it's stuck to, and any doors that open with mines stuck to them, regardless of who might be nearby. That's why you can set off one prox mone with another, or any kind of thrown weapon for that matter. That's why prox mines explode the instant their activation delay runs out if you stick them to a moving platform of any type (unless it happens to be stopped at the time, then it will detonate as soon as the platform starts moving again.)
In fact, there's only one kind of motion that WON'T set off a prox mine: If a player has a prox mine stuck to their body, they can still move about freely without setting it off (oddly enough). However, the instant they get close to another player or sim, open a door, stand on an elevator, try to toss out a mine, have a knife thrown anywhere within ten feet of them, etc... They die rather greusomely at ground zero of the prox mine's explosion.
But this is just bizarre game mechanics nonsense, and the heat/motion sensor makes much more sense. At least until you consider the fact that the cleaner bot probably gives off a fair amount of waste heat while it's powered and running... But whatever, that's OK.
Anyway, I'll probably post for real tomorrow.

*uh well here i am... tell me if i screw up or anything*
The tower loomed in front of him, unique of all in the city. He had been there once, and it was time to return. He didn't know why, but he was meant to be here to fight. He brought Fidelis up on the roof, setting it down, with barely enough room to stop. He jumped out, and sent Fidelis off home. Now let's see about fighting... He opened the letter that had come to him weeks earlier...
"Come to Lucerne Tower. There will be a battle. Expect and make no alliances."
Easy enough... He walked down, into a door leading into the building.
Shadow is in the house.

yea you are you *censored censored censored censored*. Anyway the heat is probably put out the backside and bottom of the cleanbot since it hovers and all. At any rate we have a live moving proxy mine... EVERYONE PH34R! or actually... DRAXAS PH34R! since your the only one who is down there that doesn't know...

yay for the obvious answer *jumps over proxy and gets blown into ceiling*
IC: Ranger, feeling slightly recooperated, began climbing stairs again. He chased a sound he had heard moments ago. He still hurt all over but the bleeding had stopped. He was nearing the top when he saw Niff and Snake. He took the Callisto out and began aiming under their feet. High impact shells littered the roof but barely a shot connected. Both of them stood in shock for a second before running down to return fire. Ranger's condition was no good for a fight. He kept missing wildly around them. They both seemed to be limping a bit but that was it.
Ranger kept firing until he heard a click. At the same time that his gun was out of ammo he found to types of pistols on his forehead. Both shot off a bullet and Ranger fell backwards.

Shadow heard the gunfire, and began running down the stairs. He opened a door and saw that he was in the offices... Where was that gunfire? He walked around and saw two elevators... Too dangerous, imagine being stuck in there for a gunfight... He opted instead for the other set of stairs... Careful though, someone might be in there... He slowly opens the door, rifle drawn...

Golden Magnum saw Shadow go downstairs to the top floor. He decided to follow. When he reached that level, he saw that he was not there. "Damn, where could he have gone" he thought. He looked around for any hints where he saw the stairwell door open. Carefully, he creeped over to the door and checked it out, LX drawn. At first, he spotted no one. He quietly went down the stairs, seeing signs of obviously recent combat taken place. Upon closer inspection downstairs, he spotted Shadow sneaking down the stairs with his rifle drawn. "Gotcha" He said quietly as he was about to makea clean headshot on Shadow. Suddenly, Shadow missed a step and tripped, causing Golden Magnum to fire early and Shadow to turn around, when he saw Golden Magnum, he fired his sniper rifle at him. Golden Magnum narrowly dodged the shot and return with LX fire, causing him to retreat lower down. Shaodw saw that he couldn't face him in close combat with a sniper rifle and drews his falcons. When Golden Magnum appeared in fornt of Shadow, he fired back. Shadow was able to hit Magnum pretty accurately with his two falcons, which caused him to almost get knocked back. However, Golden Magnum was able to line up a good shot and hit Shadow squared in the chest with his LX, causing him to slump over dead. Before Shadow died, however, the last two of his falcon shots hit Golden Magnum square in the cheast and knocked him over the rail, causing him to fall back and hit the ground. OOC: Edit: NPCs are gone, please don't ban me, I don't wanna die
