Golden Magnum sat on the ground level, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of life. His patience was running thin. If someone didn't respawn soon, he would have to go look for prey instead of just easily ending their lives as they were born. He sat upon the steps, his hand running over the exquisite magnum at his waist. Its sleek exterior boasted his good taste. He smirked a bit as he heard a slight creaking noise; the doors to the building.
Revenant pressed his hand upon the glass, pushing the door open. It slid open easily, but not without noise. The hinges creaked slightly, probably from years of use, but no care. The Ex-Marine curled his fingers around the soft grip on the handle of his Falcon 2. He cocked the hammer back and slid his thumb over a bit, flicking the safe off. His eyes stayed locked on the area before him, however. Due to this, he narrowly avoided a magnum round to the forehead.
A glint caught his eye. It eminated from the small opening between the stairway and the ground floor ceiling. Instinctively, Revenant dropped to the floor as the gunshot sounded. One of the glass doors shattered as the bullet impacted with its glossy surface. Victor pushed off of the ground with his left hand, rolling to his right. He then quickly stood up and made his way around to the bottom of the stairway leading up to the elevators. He found himself face to face with Golden Magnum.
Two shots went off, one from the Falcon 2 and one from the glossy magnum. Revenant dropped to the floor, blood flowing profusely from his chest. His last breath seeped out of his mouth as he hit the ground, a pool of blood forming beneath his lifeless corpse. Magnum keeled over, tumbling down the stairs. He landed at the bottom, the circular red hole in his forehead apparent. Both combatants were dead.

*Respawn*
Majora was angry at himself, "I got careless, and forgot about Razor's wings... Well, he beat me, can't let that stay like that."
Majora headed down the ramp, and into the fan room, and saw Ranger, walking into the room. Readying his Maulers, , he aimed a good charged shot, and fired.
Majora missed, however, and obviously alerted Ranger to his presence. Ranger turned, and in one quick motion fired his Magsecs at Majora's head.
Majora ducked down, and was only hit in the arm. Favoring it, Majora scrambled back behind the large column, near the security system. Majora put his Maulers back, and readyed a combat knife, and his Reaper.
"I need to move, or Ranger will start using his Callisto's High powered shots."
Sure enough, Majora saw Ranger begin readying his Callisto. Majora diving from behind his cover, Majora jumped up over the railing and onto the ramps, and continued running, as Ranger continued firing at him, but but not hitting anything, yet.
Majora knew he had to get out of there, so ge opened the door and tried to exit, just barely getting out, as more shots richoseted over the railing.
The firing ceased, as Ranger stopped to reload his clip, Majora jumped out from behind his cover, and threw his combat knife, then began firing his Reaper, pinning Ranger down behind the other door.
And fighting continued like that, but Majora knew he had to do something, as he was running out of Ammo.
And Majora thought of it. "Hey you chicken ***, mother******, come out and fight like a man/"
Majora knew that would set Ranger off, and Majora was counted on that. Ranger acted off his emotion and ran for Majora. Majora smiled, readied his Slayer, and fired. Shooting a rocket right into Ranger's chest.
Majora smiled, and favoring his injured arm a bit, Majora set off into the heart of the building. ------------------------------------------------------------OOC: Phew, what a long post. I had my AP U.S. History test on Friday! Man, was that long. 4 Hours...

Post by Draxas on May 11, 2004 9:56:24 GMT -5
Draxas moved purposefully through the basement hall, watching as he drew closer to his target signal. He paused to draw his Falcon 2s at a door, and then tripped the opening mechanism. The door slid silently upward, opening into a small, sparsely furninshed office. A glass cubicle wall enclosed a computer desk on the two sides nearest to him, and a well-worn carpet covered the floor, but otherwise the room had a similar spartan feel that the rest of the basement shared. Draxas checked his R-Tracker again, and noted that his target was moving towards him, and was nearly on top of his position. He waited, guns ready, for the opposite door to open.
He did not have to wait long. Seconds later, the steel barrier slid noiselessly up inside the celing as well, and Raven stepped into the office, also wielding his pair of Falcon 2s. Draxas smirked.
"I might have known I would run into you again here," Draxas said by way of greeting.
"Hah," replied Raven, "You have a habit of trolling around basements for me, hmm? First the Villa, now here."
Draxas smirked a bit wider. "Whatever you say, man. Are we going to get this started or what?"
"I'm ready when you are!"
"Well then," replied Draxas, raising his pistols, "Fight well!" Raven dove to his left, firing a round from each pistol, as Draxas loosed a pair of rounds at the exact location Raven would have landed in. Both warriors would have likely killed each other with this initial volley, if it hadn't been for the fact that the glass barrier between them was apparently bulletproof. Four spidery cracks were the only effect of the attack, and the glass remained intact. Both men stared at each other for a moment, and then chuckled nearly simultaneously.
"Shall we try that again, then?" called Raven.
"Oh yes, let's." responded Draxas.
The two began to move with more caution, each trying to use the seemingly impenetrable barrier to their advantage. Draxas circled around one edge and loosed another pair of shots, but they once again bounced harmlessly off of the glass as Raven ducked around the other edge. This slow exchange of fire continued until both had exhausted their clips. They each reached for new ammo, Raven on the inside of the cubicle, Draxas on the outside, between the cubicle and the wall.
As Draxas looked up from his newly-loaded weapons, he was caught by surprise as Raven leapt onto the computer desk, vaulted over the glass wall, and slammed him square in the chest with a flying kick. Draxas fell backwards into the wall, losing his grip on his left-hand pistol, but quickly regained his wits, countering with a sweep kick that sent Raven toppling to the floor as he tried to regain his feet from his acrobatics. A pair of pistols skittered across the rug in opposite directions from the newly downed fighter. Draxas sprang to his feet, and pointed his remaining pistol at Raven as he was about to do the same. Raven froze, caught at a serious disadvantage, mind working furiously as to how he could salvage the situation.
Draxas looked down at Raven, and holstered his pistol. "Get up," he said simply, and backed off a few feet. Draxas entered an unarmed fighting stance as Raven rose to his feet. "Now, let us continue."
Raven entered his own stance, and the two began to circle once more. Raven was the first to strike out, with a quick kick at Draxas's head. Draxas blocked the blow, countering with a punch to Raven's gut. Raven just barely managed to lean away from the attack, and aimed a sweep kick at Draxas legs. The sweep threw him off balance somewhat, and Raven followed with a quick shoulder charge, sending him sprawling. Draxas looked up at the celing momentarily, before rising to his feet and reentering his stance.
The two warriors continued to battle with fists and feet, each landing blows but neither proving their superiority. So distracted were they, that when the door that led to the facility labs slid silently open once again, neither noticed...
Raven had just been brought to the ground by a sweep kick, and he countered by hooking one of Draxas's legs, dropping him to the floor nearby as well. Suddenly they both froze, as a cleaning hov-bot skimmed in straight at their faces.
The last thing that was said was a quick "Oh [CENSORED]." by Raven.
The proximity mine was triggered by the two warriors, and was finally responsible for shattering the bulletproof glass of the nearby cubicle. Moments later, the surrounding area was coated in a thin layer of blood mixed with ash and soot.

OOC: Wow, Draxas. I was in the middle of that post (around the time where I kick you) and I thought, "Hey, this should end with the hov-bot exploding and killing us both. I'll post that the next time I get a chance."
Great minds think alike, eh?

Ranger respawned and cursed under his breath for letting himself get aggitated so easily. Had it been one of his bounties he wouldn't have made that folly. He really was to close to the PDBAers. He wasn't about to get worked up again. Looking around he was outside Cassandra's office again. He looked at the mangled elevator shaft. His only way down to the lower levels. He knew many of the others couldn't do such a thing but he had been doing this for quite a while.
To anyone else it would have looked like a suicidal leap but to him it was air rushing past his face. *thump thump thump thump*. Ranger practically flew down the elevator shaft. His feet barely catching the wall and pushing him back to the other side. He looked like a flash of light because of his speed no doubt. He was nearing the bottom jumping from wall to wall in a diamond pattern. He didn't like how cramped the space was it made it hard to do this. He got to his final jump and flew up a little but leveled out enough to grab hold of one side of the elevator shafts metal girders that held it in place. He shimmied down and placed his feet softly on the mezanine(sp?) floor. He strode down the stairs and stumbled a little from an explosion below. No doubt another bomb from the PDBAers down here. He looked at his radar in time to see two dots flash out of sight.
Ranger pulled out double magsec4's and began walking cautiously around.

Deliriousness reigned as Revenant respawned on the first floor, a slight pain eminating from the area in which he was shot. The wound had healed, but a bruise was left, circular in shape and purplish in color. Chuckling slightly, the Ex-Marine reached behind his head, sliding his fingers around his AR34, his lips curling into a slight grin. His eyes scanned the scenery, and he stopped all movement to listen in for any telegraph that there may be someone in the immediate vacinity. He got just that.
Behind him was a rectangular wooden door; the normal type for a place such as this. Behind it rested a large staircase that somewhat spiraled upwards with several stops on the way. When Revenant stopped to listen, the first thing he heard was the creaking of the door's hinges. He was in trouble.
Immediately, he dropped to floor as a hail of bullets flew overhead, riddling the wall in front of him. He rolled quickly behind a wall, easily flicking the safety into the off position. A bit of sweat beaded on his forehead as he tightened the grip on his AR34. All was silent for a few moments; the calm before the storm, so to speak.
Suddenly, Revenant rolled out from his position, quickly raising his aim. It fell on the somewhat unsuspecting form of Ranger. His MagSecs made it only halfway up to their desired height before several bullets riddled his body. One slammed into his left leg, taking it out from under him. He face-planted onto the hard, glossy floor. Another of the bullets embedded itself into the top of his left shoulde,r shattering bone and sending it into muscle and veins.
Revenant arose to his feet, keeping his aim trained on the writhing, bloody figure of Ranger. Ranger reached for one of his MagSecs, but a searing pain spread from his hand the whole way up his arm as he looked to see that his foe was crushing his hand with the heel of the large black combat boot. The Ex-Marine latched the rifle back onto his back and bent down, sliding the combat knife from his thigh. He placed the tip of the blade against Ranger's throat and quickly thrust it forward, the tip emerging on the other side, blood spewing quickly from the fatal wound. The victim attempted, futily, to breath.
Revenant removed his blade from the blood-covered Ranger's corpse and slid it into the sheathe on his thigh, running his hand through his hair. He turned on his heel and headed up the stairs, making his way up to the upper levels.

Considering, my dear compatriot, that I had your good arm pinned down with my boot and that your other arm was shot.. I think I had a fair chance, don't you?
