Once again, Ranger found himself in a featureless room, similar to the first room he had encountered on the left side of the ruin. The only difference was the fact that the archway was to his left, otherwise it was simply a small room composed of crumbling masonry.

Good guess.
Unsurprisingly, Ranger found himself in a mirrored image of the corridor on the other side of the ruins, lined with doors at regular intervals on the right side of the hall instead of the left. However, this area seemed to have gotten much more ravaged by time and the elements than the other side. The masonry appeared to be crumbling to a much greater degree here, and some ways down the hall, outdoor light flooded through a large gap in the celing, onto a pile of rubble composed of what remained of the falling blocks. The entire area was almost silent, save for the rhythmic dripping sound of water from somewhere unseen.

Ranger made his way to the rubble piled up in the light to see if he could determine the source of the dripping.

It wasn't even necessary to go that far. After passing the second doorway, Ranger spotted a puddle near the wall. Water (perhaps) from an unknown source was seeping through the celing bricks where there was a significant gap, and it was dripping and pooling in this spot. The puddle, however, while fairly small, was contained within a bowl-shaped indentation in the floor, as if it had been dripping like this for a long time.

Ranger backtracked and tried to open the second door. It took quite a lot of force to get it to move, though the rusted hinges did not whine very much at all. However, Ranger discovered a pile of rubble which included some sizable blocks just beyond the door, which he had to shove away as he opened the door in order to gain entry.
He found himself in a room similar to the large bunk area on the other side of the fortress, but much more run down. It seemed as if nobody had been inside this room at all in quite some time, and it was small wonder. The bunk beds were mostly crushed and broken under piles of rubble or had simply fallen apart from the ravages of time. Any remnants of cloth sheets were quite obiously growing well established colonies of mold and mildew, and gave the room an appropriately musty smell. Debis littered the area where it had fallen from collapsed portions of the celing, and several skeletons of indeterminite origin were scattered among the wreckage, many half-buried under the rubble, and some simply lying contorted among rusted weapons and armor where they had presumably fallen in battle long ago.

Ranger looked to see if there was a way up from where the rubble had fallen perhaps to a second floor.

Ranger glanced up at one of the gaps in the celing in between the rows of destroyed bunks. It did indeed look as if there was a second floor above, but the hole was too far above him to be reached even by jumping up to it; accessing it from below was not going to be a simple task.

He left the room and went back to the main courtyard where he tried the middle door.

Ranger backtracked out to the main courtyard, and headed for the main doors leading towards the keep. They swung open easily as he pushed against them, revealing a group of armed goblins, weapons at the ready, almost as if they were waiting for him...
