I went down Observatory Hill today. Lots of blood. Hopefully pictures later if I can find someone willing to assist in my morbid obsession with gore.

From my email:
We regret to inform you that your son, N3B, was involved in an accident this afternoon involving his longboard and some construction debris. He was skating down a long stretch of road at what we approximate to have been around 20-25mph, when he lost control of the board as he passed by a construction site, which had unbeknownst to him, strewn rocks and assorted debris into the road. Attempting to alter his course and slow his momentum, the board popped off of a small rock and sent Nicholas flying off the front end at speeds close to 20mph, where he landed on his side and slid on his back for 10 feet, hitting the back of his head on the asphalt in the process. His back and elbows/forearms have been heavily covered in abrasions, most of which are relatively shallow and look far worse than they are, though with a few that do penetrate a few layers past the epidermis. The knot on his head swelled to a volume approximately the size of a golf ball or two, but has since receded to perhaps the size of a walnut.
He returned to his dorm where he cleaned the wounds with hot soapy water and then applied rubbing alcohol to the deeper wounds and ointment-doused bandages. An improvised ice pack was applied to his head, though six hours later it continues to bleed lightly. He has been feeling fine since the accident but supposes that he will have to adjust his schedule for exportation until the start of the second week of May, after he's turned in his final paper, as he will likely be unable to be productive writing it in the week before finals begin, due to his induced state of physical and mental lethargy. He will get back to you when he knows in more detail. The intense injuring of his skin seems to help in the processes of courting the ladies, he has noted.
- This message brought to you by an amused Nikolai who is making the best of his injuries.
I do not think and narrate in third person plural, for the record.
Basically the majority of my back is covered in scrapes, my elbows are pretty roughed up, my left arm has scrapes going from the elbow all the way to my wrist and knuckles. Though in 3 days' time most of the more shallow wounds have almost healed to the point of being faint red marks that were barely able to scab over. My head has been feeling surprisingly well all things considered, though my eyes have been feeling a little irritated in the past two days. I imagine I look something like a cross between a zombie and a drug-addict going through withdrawals.
