ROMmed the GBA ver, tis pretty cool so far. Satisfies my desire for immersive yet open-ended RP.

Open ended, yet immersive RP? Try this link: sc2.sourceforge.netI'm convinced I made a topic for this game some time ago, but I can't find it for the life of me anymore.

I am quite preferable to staying away from the addiction known as Baldur's Gate

Odd, the link works fine for me. Though supposedly Sourceforge had some downtime recently; maybe you were just unlucky.

worked fine when I used it the other day. It seemed a little unworthy compared to the stuff I do on D&D:O (and I won't give this game a rest till I have at least one of your pitiful souls as a tribute to it)

I would gladly allow my (ironically virgin) blood as sacrifice if only the game did not cost money.

The PA review made it sound pretty good. However, it's just as Note says; even if the beta *may* not cost any money yet (and I'm not even sure that's true), it will soon enough when it's ready for launch. That, and it's an MMO; is there REALLY anything more to it than a valueless time-sink?

well it releases on Feb 28th... The beta is closed to all non preorder people now so you missed your chance on that and it will have a monthly fee most likely when its finalized. Turbine needs to recover though from Armored Core 2.

Okay this Ur-Quan thingy is beyond frustrating. I FINALLY make it to alpha centauri without being pulverized and I can't refuel - plus I have 0 crew left after all these stupid probes that have like, the worst programming ever.
A little help here?

Have you visited Earth? You start the game in the Sol system, why not try heading home first to see how the war went?
You did watch the intro, right?

Of course I went to Earth! It wouldn't let me scan it or dispatch anyone, so I left. This is after I ran into the probe.

Ohhhhh I see *actually went to the orbital station this time*
I thought that the probe's threat was an immediate one, and that sticking around would prove fatal.
