I agree completely. Especially since companies are phasing out Blueray technology. HD is the preferred format and Sony is recognizing this and deciding whether or not to change that from Blueray to HD. Something I heard. Anyway yea Sony = PWNED

is that the one that was posted on PA? Good story but I still back the Wii. 360 is really good I'll give it that and PS3 has stuff going for it. Simply put though the innovative play and the lovable party games that will come with wii will sell me. 700$ for a PS3 is WAY too rich for my blood. I think PS3 is going to make a giant resounding flop the world will hear.

Don't get me wrong, every day I'm tempted to place a reserve on the Wii, something I have NEVER done before, and never plan to do in the future. It's all Zelda's fault...

haha I won't reserve it. I'll hope for it for christmas and buy it later if I don't get it. With the two games set to release with it I don't think I have enough oomph to just buy it flat out yet but by the time that the new year starts it should be getting around the time. I already have TP with money down on the table for it on GCN

As do I (though it wasn't my money; I've been sitting on this reserve I got as a gift about TWO YEARS AGO ), it's just a question of whether to shift the reserve to the Wii version or not. Probably not; may cautious side will surely win out and I'll wait and see how things pan out with it first.

Which won't hit shelves until a month after the Wii version. So annoying.

I'm tempted to buy a Wii in Japan next time I visit.. but that all depends on whether I can get a PAL version. Otherwise I'll have to wait a few more months and save alot of money before I can buy one in NZ (they'll probably be near to 400 bucks).

As I recall, Japan uses the NTSC-J formal, not PAL, so you might have a problem with that. But good luck anyway.

Yeah, but I remember seeing specific PAL and NTSC sections in Akihabara in game shops. Hmm.. I doubt they'll be that specific if there's only a limited amount being shipped anyway.
