Neverwinter Nights 2 is coming in Summer... Plan accordingly. I imagine someone (N3B) is hung up on RF Online now that it made its US drop.

I've got a friend who'll be delighted to hear that, mostly because he used to spend every waking hour in his life playing Neverwinter Nights 1 on his PC. He'll practically explode with excitement.

I miss GW. It was a great game until I beat it twice. I then couldn't bring myself to get Factions or Nightfall since I hadn't played in so long and had missed so many updates and such.
I actually never got into RFO. A few of my friends and I tried the international beta, but US IPs were quickly banned. We messed around with proxies and were able to get in. I got turned off by the overly monotonous tutorial, and when I went back a few days later I couldn't even log in anymore, so I gave up. Once it was released, I heard that it pretty much sucked, and I couldn't play my usual healer class (because it was impractical/didn't exist).
As for NWN, I've never been much of a D&D videogame fan -- I've played the P&P game a few times, never got into it, but have a lot of respect for it. Most D&D games to me are just too much hack n' slash with an overly complex skill tree. I never got into NWN, mostly because by the time I considered it, it already was in its second expansion and I didn't want to get involved with it after so much delay. Everyone keeps telling me to check out NWN2, but I've got some skepticism because of its D&D title. Games like Diablo, Sacred, Titan Quest, even Dungeon Siege really aren't that appealing to me. As I understand NWN has more role-playing/adventure involved, but I just can't stand those types of games.

SNES D&D games? Nothing springs to mind besides Eye of the Beholder, and that failed to hold my interest for very long... Mainly because I despise (most) RPGs that force you to wander around dungeons in first-person.

NWN2? Sounds like tits. I might get it cause NWN is pretty damned fun. My computing teacher took a day off yesterday because he wanted to play it :/

there were a ton of them for either SNES or Genesis. I only know it cause I played emulated versions of them at PAX in 05. It was lots of fun it was a sorta free based dungeon (as free base as it could be back then) in a 2d side scroller. I'll see if I can find some screens or names later.
