I am considering picking up something in this regard, primarily for GBA/SNES emulation. Thinkgeek has a couple that they stock (the GP2X and Dingoo A320), although I'd probably pick up a refurb as the markup on Thinkgeek products tends to be insane. I've also thought about getting a refurb DS and finally buying an R4 card, as I've heard that some of them support emulators etc. Any of you blokes try anything like this? Incidentally, the Pandora looks interesting, although it's wicked expensive ($300+ for a handheld console). The additional netbook/laptop functions might make it worthwhile though . . .

emulation doesn't work so flash on a DS. but hell, an R4's worth it. who needs to pay for games?

All the games I emulate I've either paid for or downloaded after they were no longer available from the publisher (i.e. after the programmers got their final paycheque). I'd rather not steal from the industry, but I'm also strongly anti-arbitrary limits on what I buy. See: music.
