I just started downloading an album from the net and I thought to myself "15 minutes, thats quite a while" and then it occured to me people like Draxas probably had to go to record store back in the day. I can't imagine.
Also, does anyone (more specifically Ranger) know anything about the Coachella Music Festival? It sounds promising, but no one in my building is familiar with it.
Finally Leonard Cohen on tour in May. I'm probably the only person excited, but what the hay.

Finally Leonard Cohen on tour in May. I'm probably the only person excited, but what the hay. I don't remember who it was who sent me the Master Song (it may have been you) but I remember liking it tremendously. Really the only complaint I have about him is that the album of his that I listened to was very same-same-same and almost put me to sleep. I love his lyrics though.

It was me. I can kind of see what you're talking about about with same-same-same, but the lyrics make up for it so hard.

By the time I was old enough to listen to music, records had pretty much been superceded by casette tapes as the medium of choice for music. I do remember the introduction of CDs, though.
Incidentally, I also remember that my first computer used casette tapes as a storage medium, and that the 5 1/4" floppy drive was an addon we got for it later. I've also got an 8 1/2" floppy lying around somewhere... Now THAT thing is a relic.
I actually had never bought music of any sort until I was in college, though... Or maybe my senior year of high school.

Not really, although I currently own a 1 gig mp3 player. It is like dying a slow death.

I know more than once I wanted to go to coachella and that if you go bring sunscreen and be prepared for heat as it is in the desert. Indio, CA is where it is I believe and as such runs right out of realm of influence because I was northern not southern. It usually has a good list of bands and is most likely a great choice if you were going to go to one concert for the whole year.
