Um, OK then. Big whoop.
I'm so jaded on fighting games. Probably because they've outpaced my skill level in them so very far.

I abhor fighting games, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate this guy's skill level. Closest I can come to is the bloody 100 super jumps in SMRPG. >_<

You actually managed to do the 100 bounces? That IS impressive. A friend of mine was actually able to get his count up into the 90s, until the random timing change around 95 or so. I personally only managed to get up around 20 at my best.
Closest exercise in tedium I can compare it to is dodging the 200 lightning bolts in FFX (as well as all of the other ridiculous subquests you had to complete to get your max level ultimate weapons in that game).

Yeah, I just got to the plains of whatever blah in FFX and I am seriously bored out of my mind. I've already considered all the skill options that I have, etc and so on and all the strategery is gone from the game. I really need to buy Dark Cloud 2. \-:

Dark Cloud 2 is awesome; I highly recommend it.
As for FFX, I wouldn't give up on it so quick. If you just got to the Thunder Plains, you really haven't made it very far yet at all.

I'm way past Thunder Plains - I'm at the Calm Lands (just remembered what it was called). I've never been a big fan of random encounters, and the encounter rate at the plains is just way too high. \-:

By the time you go back to do the tedium that is dodging 200 lightning bolts, you should have a way to reduce said encounter rate, I think to zero.

Durr, when I said plains I meant calm lands - what I'm trying to say is that I HATE RANDOM ENCOUNTERS! AUGH! >_<

You can get a Chocobo for the Calm Lands, which will solve your problem in one fell swoop.

Chocobos make the game less tedious? >_>
PS I am playing through IOG because (after reading N3B's list) I realized that I had previously passed over it. The version I have is so poorly translated it makes me ill, but the gameplay itself is shmexy and awesome.

Why would you need a translated version of Illusion of Gaia? It came out in the US, and the official US version is perfectly understandable. Enix was (usually) pretty good about that sort of thing.
I wonder if I still can find my original cart for that game...?
