*Remembers a year ago, when this was the only thing here.*
Incidentally, Razor's CISOD was running then... Actually, I think that can be said for most of the history of the site. I had just joined up then...
*Waxes nostalgic*

It appears my CISOD kinda ended things for now. I don't know whether that was because it was too long, too good, too bad, or what...but what will come next? Who knows...

How long d'you reckon it'll be before I get to create my own CISOD? 5 years is my bet, any other takers?

If I had to guess, probably never. Unless someone makes an effort to really drum up some interest in the PDBA, it's likely to stay dead for a long while.

Ahem, perhaps I can be of assistance? For a while now, I've been waiting to properly test an RPG of mine, but I've had problems with getting the right people. TCL has only quality RPers, but the membership is low since it's a private forum. Gaia...well it's just too noob infested. This could be the right sized, experienced enough group to make the RP work.
Name- Digial Battlefield Online: Beta Test(DBO: Beta Test) Class- Near future science fiction. Info- At some point in the future, a small company (DBO Industries) announces that it has finally created the perfect virtual gaming environment. They plan to release the game in about a year and need beta testers from all across America to come to their testing facility. A few months later, people (Mainly teens) begin to recieve letters in the mail from DBO Industries inviting them to take part in the beta. Unknown to the general public, 90% of the people invited have experienced some sort of emotional trauma or stress.
If any one is interested, I'll get the whole thing worked out and a character sheet written.

No offense Garrant, but we've got plenty of other RPs to distract us from doing the PDBA. Whether or not you actually do this RP is up to you, but this topic is mainly about how to revive our dearest father, the PDBA.

No, that's not what I mean. This could be linked to the PDBA. That was just 'what' my original idea was about, not what I meant to do here. I'm thinking about having somethink like this happen in CISOD. The entire group could get caught in some giant computer program. Not sure if this would make other's more active, but it might not hurt to try it out? We could use a random plot twist or just the BnG answer, "A wizard did it."

my problem is that i've just "outgrown" the PDBA. seems i've used all the "cool moves" from my "cool moves and other cool things" book, and things get repetitious.
new members always seem to breathe new life into my PDBA-ness, but we haven't really had any new people in a while... i was hoping the CISOD would get be started again, but, unfortunately, alot of confusion lead to another term of inactiveness. *sigh*
someone give me proper motivation to get insanely active again.

I think...the PDBA needs to move on...to IRC! Yes...we need a REAL-TIME FFRP going on in here...

*Refuses to use IRC*
So if everyone else thinks this is a good idea, it will more than likely be where I bid you all adieu.

that would be WAAAAY to hard to control/moderate/utalize, text-based it stays. make variations on the text-method, but there's no way we could go real-time. either way, it wouldn't be the "PDBA we grew up with", and change is usually not good.
