ok just so that we officially have a comments and suggestions thread. here it is leave what you want as long as it pertains to ways of making the LMS better or something you like or dislike about this or other LMS's
Personally. I think we should seperate it from the Battle Arena Board. LMS is big enough that it deserves its own area on P//N. It deserves two boards actually. Main game thread and the archive of old battles. It would help a lot in the organization of some of these things.
I believe the scoped Falcon should be placed into the normal items list or a scope or something. The Falcon just isn't enough on its own.
Finally I think some of the prices are outrageous though I am not sure which ones because I am a stupid n00by ch00by punk :-p

I still can't believe that I never made a feedback thread before this one. Maybe it was scrolled off to an older page and forgotten? No matter, this thread is official now. This might very well benefit from its own board, but it functions decently well even without it. The only trouble is that it overshadows the entire rest of the BA board... But this was one of the lowest-traffic boards before the LMS arrived anyway. I'm planning on adding Scopes to a number of different weapons, Falcons included. However, I'm still turning over ideas in my head on what they should DO... Anyone here can feel free to suggest potential uses or even detailed mechanics for new weapons and items, though I've already worked out most of these in my head. In fact, (and I believe I may have mentioned this before) I'll offer LMS cash bonuses for anyone who submits a suggestion I implement into the LMS. However, this comes at MY discretion alone, so no arguments if you don't get the bonus you feel you "deserve" or you'll ruin it for everyone because I'll repeal this concept. How's that sound? Which prices do you have a problem with? Does anyone else share these sentiments?

Well...scoped weapons.
Perhaps scoped weapons should have, like, a 5% chance to deal a Headshot or Critical Strike, where the weapon does double damage?

I was kinda thinking along those lines, but the % chance would be equal to the power of the scope...
So, for example, a Scoped F2 would have a 2X scope, and thus a 2% critical rate. Which makes it nigh useless.
The 3X and 5X scopes on most rifles would be a bit better, but not much...
Then you consider that 30X scope on the Sniper Rifle, and that's a decent critical rate (which helps with the Sniper's crappy overall damage).
My only problem with this is that it really doesn't reflect the actual performance of these weapons... So I'm really not sure if this is how I want to use them.

When? Only "LTK" and "Raining Weapons" generated any real interest, and those were more to goof around than anything else.

... NightFire Arena was one of the biggest generators of socialness around here. As was Gate of Ages or whatever. Quickly met their demise when easier trends popped up.. LTK

Um, Nightfire arena lasted for less than a page of posts, most of which were short and boring. Only you and GM seemed to actually care. Gate of Ages (or whatever, I don't remember the name either) started out frigging awesome. And ended about a week later, with maybe half a dozen posts total. Sad but true. Then again, it was the only place on this whole board that I saw a sample of Dark181st's writing, and that in and of itself might make it worthy of a sticky on this board.

So... Even Ground / Rando-Battle has drawn to a close. I will be posting the Token redemtion topic shortly. However, I would like everyone's comments and suggestions on the round. For example:
What did you think of the system? Was this more / less enjoyable than a regular round? Does anything need to be changed, or would this setup work well if we tried it again? If we had another event match like this one, would you participate?
Of course, comments of a more general nature are always welcome as well. Ideally, I would like everyone's feedback about this round. Realistically, I'll be happy if just a few of you weigh in.

Yeah things were pretty fun and interesting. Looks like every new LMS has new features. The token redemption was very nice and you can easily get some nice weapons and lots of useful stuff. As you said in the other topic about a bank, that would be nice to have. If someone wants to have lots of weapons/items or whatever, but doesn't want to sell them, then they can store them in the bank.

yea personally I never plan to get rid of my Falcon. It's always nice to have a backup somewhere but the problem would be in where to keep it when inventory starts filling up. so I am all for the bank. /me weighs in on last round I liked it nice even amount of life so it didn't go too quick. Constant suprise at what might pop up next. Fortune decided your playing ability to a point. Some was skill. It's like playing Blackjack or Poker with guns

I'm glad response on the last round was positive. I rather like the RIG, and I think it will make an appearance again someday. My only concern is that the round has a tendency to bog down heavily when I'm not at the PC to update, especially if several players open item crates around the same time. Otherwise though, it seems to have worked pretty well.
As for your between-round actions, as it stands now, you can basically do whatever you like as you would in the normal game, with the exception of hostile action. So you can transfer ammo into and out of weapons, equip accessories and gear, buy and sell items, etc.
I think I may end up adding a Bank soon. However, I think I will only allow access to the Bank between rounds, so that important decisions about what to carry into battle must still be made beforehand. What does everyone think of that idea?

The RC-P120 is planned out and ready for combat, and was included in the RIG. It just never happened to come up in the results... Actually, now that I look at it, it's a bit bizarre how frequently certain weapons popped up.
Prices will stay fixed at their current levels. However, I am looking into some ways that newer players can increase their earnings potential. However, a certain level of participation is necessary, if you want to reap much reward...
Explian Tracer, Explosive, and Titanium Rounds to me. Special ammo types are not necessarily out of the question, but you need to provide more details on how you would expect them to work.

Okay Tracer rounds are more accurate then normal bullets, but I'm not completley sure if they acually "trace" the target, but can make hitting cloakers easier, or in fog or hitting a covered enemy, esplosive detonate with a charge and have the affect of explosives, titanium would be so incredibly rare because the travel at very high speeds, and if it even comes close to you it shribels up your skin and killed.
Poision rounds, sleepers, and some of my custom bullets in my profile are nice to.
Also IR scanners to increase accuracy.
Combat boosts.
Maybe some weapons like the Dy-357 LX but they could have slow fire, since an LX fires a tad bit slower the the origonal.
Or look iin GameFAQs and pull out some other weapons.
Keep RIG
One more thing please provide link to RIG, I think some of us could amuse ourselves for awhile.
And titanium bullet and tracer rounds, I'll have to ask my sister about it.
