As am I. Quite possibly the best RPG to come out in ages... Which says a lot, considering all the bad things you can say about it. But those bad things are so superficial, it doesn't matter.

it's accounted for many a restless night. I am right around Bacarrat now. Need to head to the Northwest Isle and then head back toward Argonia. If you actually try and blitz through the game it's very short and speed players can get through it at level 22 or so. Normally you can beat it at about level 44. Personally I am just gonna beef my characters up out of habit because I read a FAQ that tells me when I need to start watching for the final boss fights. I am gonna completely overpower the main boss.

It sounds like it's not hard to overpower the final boss, from what I've heard. I'm way ahead of you, and most of my party is around level 35 or so... Speed runs absolutely require you know where to put your skill points, though, and considering I never use FAQs on my first runs through games, I'm just winging it and powering up as I go. In all honesty, I haven't faced a really HARD boss ever, and the last one who was even sort of challenging was the one in the ruined abbey.
Besides, you'll need way higher levels than 22 if you have any hope to take on the bonus dungeon. I believe my friend said his characters were in the 70s, and he was still having some trouble with some of the monsters there.
Anyway, I think the game is great fun, regardless of what others might think. Then again, I've always been a fan of the series, so it's not too surprising I like this one.

Oh yea I plan on getting done with the Dragovian area long before I finish up the final boss. And it really doesn't matter nearly as much early on where you put the skills just as long as you realize two things. First you only have 350 by the time finish leveling which means you can max 3 and a half skills. and the other is that you need to get something that will benefit your party or do damage to special monsters/do more damage to normal damage. Like the Falcon combo where you have the Flacon Sword and uses Falcon slash so you can essentially get 4 attacks from a single person in one turn without any MP cost.

Problem is that the Falcon Sword sucks. Give me the Miracle or Liquid Metal swords any day of the week. I don't think you can access the bonus dungeon until after you've defeated the final boss. Distributing skill points is easy for every character except Jessica, in my opinion. The other 3 have 2-3 areas that you KNOW you want to max out, but only with Jessica can you make the argument that you would want to max out 4 areas. And if you want to continue this discussion, I suggest we start a topic in the Sony board, because we're cluttering up this poll.
