You step through the doorway of this shop and into a scene of unmitigated chaos. It seems as if the entire adventuring population of Kestral has congregated into this one area, and while the shop would be spacious if it were empty, the entire place feels quite claustrophobic. Everywhere, people are trying on gear or examining weapons, or simply stopping to chat. Several employees are scrambling to and fro to attempt to serve as many customers as possible, and yet the shop seems woefully shortstaffed for the number of people inside. Fortunately, there is a large sign above the counter listing their wares.

Battered, beaten, and bruised, Kelva’s common sense was obviously not the reasoning behind his arrival at the adventurer’s supply shop in Kestral. Some makeshift (and apparently ineffective) leaf poultices covered his major wounds, including one eye. The eye wasn’t injured, but Kelva thought it gave him a rougish look, and no-one really longed to argue it out with him. Hardly noticing the chaos, he stepped around scattered piles of armour and chatting adventurers to the front counter, signaling the man behind it, who signaled back at him to wait. Pouting, Kelva grudgingly complied, standing in line behind the man who was positive that the cloak in question was worth less then the list price.
“I’m telling you, when I was in the east they sold these cloaks for a much cheaper price!”
Reynold sighed and ran his hand through his thick black hair.
“I’m sorry you feel that way, but the price is the price, and it’s non-negotiable.”The man opened his mouth to expound on his point when he was interrupted by a reedy voice in his ear.
“Besides” interjected the voice from behind him, “you’ve obviously never been to the east. At least, not to buy cloaks. Cloaks such as these would fetch a much higher price over there – in fact, that’s probably what you were hoping to do. Once you settled on a low price you’d buy practically all his stock and be on your way. Then you’d use your profit to buy all the cheap scimitars you could find and then sell them back home as ‘curios.’” Kelva spat as the man turned red faced out the door, his legs barely able to carry him that far in his fit of embarrassment. “Freelancers . . .”
“Oi, thanks for the help” Reynold said, gratitude showing clearly on his face. “What can I do for a fine young man like yourself?”
“I need a weapon.”
“What kind of weapon would you be looking for sir?”
“A-a bow, one that shoots farther and faster than this one.” Kelva made as if to get his bow, then grabbed it off his shoulder and shoved it forward. Giving Kelva a curious gaze, Reynold took the bow and examined it. “I’ve only got 100 exp that I can spend on a weapon, I was wondering if I c-could trade that in f-f-for store credit.”

Reynold scratched his chin as he examined the bow, and then shook his head.
"I'm sorry, young fella," he said sadly, "But bows like these are terribly common. I'd be willing to trade it up with you for a better model, but not on your current budget; my least expensive bows will cost you 200 XP, and this one just isn't worth the other half of the cost. I can only give you about 25 XP for it, and no more."

Beaming, Kelva offered 175 XP and his bow to the man, glad that the trade went well.

Reynold takes the short bow and hands him a Hunting bow off a wall mount.
"Here you are and may it serve your purposes," He said with a cheery intone.

Kelva strutted outside the shop, beaming with pride as he strung his new weapon. Testing the weight and pull experimentally, he knocked an arrow and aimed for the sign hanging outside the supply shop. Spying his actions from inside the window, Bryce ducked outside as quickly as possible and put a restraining hand on Kelva’s shoulder.
“Whoa there buddy, take that thing to the range, we wouldn’t want any accidents to happen now would we?” Bryce winked and pointed down the road in the direction of the Archery range. Impatiently Kelva shouldered his bow, glaring at Bryce as he marched down the road in the direction indicated.

The attendant behind the counter took one look at Ranger, and reached for the antidotes straight away.
"You had better take one of those quick, my friend," he said, as he exchanged the XP for the goods, "You don't look so hot."
Ranger purchased 3 Antidotes.

Ranger popped one open and downed the bitter tasting fluid right off. After a few seconds his naseau went away and he began to be ok as he stood up a bit straighter. He looked over and gave an appreciative nod to the clerk.
"Thanks," he said graciously. Ranger turned and made for the door on his way to the square to check in with the guard.
