Fox McCloud is the leader of the mercenary team Star Fox, a band of elite warriors often commissioned by the Cornerian military. Fox has lead the team ever since the previous leader (James McCloud, Fox's father) was lost in a black hole. Fox and his crew have fought against menaces large and small all across the Lylat System, ranging from small-time crooks with bounties on their heads, all the way up to the self-proclaimed "Emperor" Andross, who conspired to conquer the Lylat System no less than 3 times, but was thwarted by Star Fox's efforts on each occasion. Even now, Fox is preparing to make planetfall on Katina, near a remote outpost emitting a distress signal. Cornerian high command believes it has something to do with a new threat, known only as Aparoids...
Fox is a balance-type character, able to use a decent sized repertoire of both techniques and spells. Fox is quick and hits hard, lending him bonuses to ATK and AGL, but lacks true magical aptitude, giving him penalties to MP and S-ATK. Fox can equip Gloves, Staves, Handguns, Rifles, and Heavy Weapons as weapons.
