Just an amusing little diversion.
Can everyone tell which games the characters are in? Some of them are really obvious (Link, Sheik), some are pretty obvious if you've been following the clues (Raziel, Mitsurugi), and some you would have just had to have played (Raynor)...
So, can you guys figure out where everyone's characters are, and where they've been?
Also, before I give away the secret real soon, who can guess who the "Man in Black" is that's tormenting Link and Sheik?

I have no idea who that guy is, although it *should* be obvious, according to you.
Raziel's in Metroid, I know that much.
Wait...is the "man in black" Psycho Mantis from MGS? If it is, crap, I've never played that.

Wow, never played the game and it was still that obvious? I'm either really good, or really bad. Ah, but the question arises: Which Metroid?

I'm going to say the one with Ridley in it.
The first one?

Only the second one LACKED Ridley... There are clues (fairly subtle ones, I think) to indicate which one it is. If you know the right game, you can even identify the area Raziel first dropped into.

Ahem...I believe it would be Metroid 3...though I may be wrong...
...and Mitsurugi's obviously in Earthbound...

Correct on both counts. Nice work Razor.

Another game I never played, but that rather worries me. I saw that Dr. Audonuts (spelling?) guy, and I thought, "Hmm, that sounds like Earthbound, but I've never played that." How do I know this stuff?

Osmosis? Maybe you've just been talking to me too long.

Andonuts is the geeky kid's father...and of course the Mad Duck is from Earthbound as well...

Yeah, but I never even heard of Earthbound before Super Smash Brothers for the N64 came out, and Ness was a character. I dunno, maybe it just shows how hardcore of a gamer I am, that I don't even need to play or know about the game to know where it's from.

Or maybe it just means you should go and play Earthbound and MGS already.

I've never even seen a copy of Earthbound before...I'd want to get Twin Snakes for the 'Cube, but the GameCube I have will only work for 15 minutes, then I get a "The Game Disc could not be read" error. I don't know what's causing it though, and it sucks because I'm getting better at SSBM and now I have a time limit. Sucks.

Grr. I hate that. Doesn't happen quite as frequently for me, but still gets me furious when it does happen.
Then again... There's a guy at work, whose GCN just plain old stopped working a few days ago. Sort of like a disc could not be read error, but it just crashed out, stopped moving the laser, and wouldn't spin the disc... And it wouldn't work even after powering it off...
Now THAT sucks.

So who knows where Link and Sheik are now?
If you can't figure it out yet, it'll become more obvious pretty quickly.
