The Bard is an adventurer with a sharp wit and keen desire for all of the things adventures are supposed to bring: Money, fame, and the love of women. Unfortunately, being new to the entire prospect of adventure (and possessing only the ability to conjure rats from thin air on command), he finds himself lacking in all three areas. And so he heads toward a local dive known as the Drunken Rat, in an effort to rectify his situation...

The Bard is a versatile character, who is well balanced in all areas of growth. He will learn a variety of techniques useful for all aspects of adventuring, as well as spells which will grant him the power to summon allies using his songs. As such, it will be a rare occasion that he will be forced to fight alone. However, in terms of his own combat prowess, his balanced nature is not well suited toward excelling in any area, though he is not likely to be greatly lacking in any area either.
The Bard is proficient in the use of Knives, Swords, 2-handed Swords, Axes, 2-handed Axes, Flails, and Bows. He is able to either use a shield or wield a second weapon in his off hand, but can only dual wield in a Sword + Knife combination. In addition, The Bard is proficient several types of Instruments, and can equip them as accessories for use with summoning. The Bard is proficient with Lutes, Flutes, and Harps. When he has one of these types of instruments equipped, they will also impart a maximum cap on the number of summons he is allowed to maintain at one time, with the actual number being unique to the particular instrument. While The Bard can equip multiple instruments to stack parameter bonuses, the maximum summon cap does not stack; only the highest value is used.
