Razor: Well, you'll see. I can't start you with a head-pulping artifact warhammer, of course (at least not without a good method of taking it away quickly, which I don't have).
N3B: That was the only one that came to my mind too.
Both: If you're satisfied with the preliminaries, roll up them stats!

But do I still get molotovs and incendiary devices?

I'm sure you'll figure out a way. After all, a major aspect of Ed is improvisation.

Couple things:
- Would they serve like standard Inventory items? For instance, if I'm RPing and chuck a molotov at an enemy, does that initiate combat and subtract from an inventoried stock?
- Do I go ahead and roll these initial stats?
and lastly,
- I'm going to be out of town for the next week; my grandparents are moving into a smaller house closer to family, so we'll be helping them pack and move over the course of the week. They do have Internet, but it's extremely slow (think circa 1998 dial-up), and I'm there to work so I won't steal away to surf the net very often.

Depending on what you put together, depends on what you get, though things like firebombs are pretty clearly consumables.
Yes, roll the initial stats. Or ask me to do it. Either way.
The game moves at the pace of the players; just don't forget about it. Once your character is rolled up and completed, I'll post your introduction, and you can get up to speed whenever. Of course, if you delay rolling up stats, there's not much I can do.

Some of you may have spotted the bulletin I sent out today, if not, chack your inbox. Hopefully, that should drum up some more interest and a few players.

Woo. Maybe this time we'll make it to the point where we actually meet each other. With that in mind, I'm thinking I've been playing a good bit of transformers games on my PS2 lately. I don't want to go too big. But practical. Maybe something like hotshot from the 2004 game or bumblebee from the movie game.

Good to see you, Sinim.
You do realize that even those two are around 15-20 feet tall, right? Hell, Hotshot's minicon is roughly the size of a human (a kid, anyway, but still).
I have to admit, though, Transformers ARE awesome...
Let me think about it. Tell me which you'd prefer more, too.

probably the movie game bumblebee because he was so badass.(especially in the new movie) Size isn't everything, you know. I mean it kinda opens up what you can throw at us once we're together. Plus, I could act as transportation for other characters. Sweet looking transportation at that. According to the official strategy guide for the game, he is 16 feet tall. Large, but not unreasonably so.

Probably on-par with guys like Bowser.
Though it still WOULD give him some trouble going into other worlds. Most people don't make houses for 16-foot-tall space robots.

I'd consider that part of the challenge for the character.

Bowser is NOT 16 feet tall, despite his depiction in a few games as being huge. I'd say he's 9 tops, probably more like 7.5-8.
All right, I think I'll take a crack at Bumblebee. 'Course, you have to realize, since I haven't seen Return of the Fallen and don't want to spoil the film (even though I pretty much know what happens already), this will place him in the timeframe for the first movie. That might mean he's still got his radio-voice; I'll try and concoct a scenario after that point, though... Problem with that is that shortly thereafter, he has no LEGS... Ah, the trials and tribulations of being a Transformer.
EDIT: Wait a sec. Maybe the size issue can be overcome with the smaller TFs, but what about the stats? You can't seriously tell me that a 16-foot-tall transforming robot is going to have comparable striking power or defense with, say, an Orc or a private eye. Or if he does, he's in some serious need of an upgrade.
This is troublesome. I'm going to have to think hard on this one.
And to think, I was considering drawing up some rules for vehicular combat. Little did I expect that one of the characters might turn into one.

See? Vehicular combat. Oh the possibilities. I've seen the second movie and it spoils nothing to tell you that he still talks with the Radio.(supposedly he's just playing up his old injury...for pity maybe.) However, I'll point out that he is repaired from his batttle in the first movie by the end of that movie. He is shown as a complete car.
Also...consider that in the old games...small mario was normal person size. Even if he was like 5'7" or so, multiply that by like 3 or 4 to get the size of bowser. Cause that's how many marios it would take to get that tall. Bowser may be an appropriate size comparison.

Put me down for:
HP: 26 TP: 17 ATK: 14 DEF: 11 S-ATK: 11 S-DEF: 13 AGL: 15
I conveniently found a "d6" lying around my grandparents' house, which I put to use on the rolls, rather than relying on their 26kb/s dial-up to handle random number generators >.>
I suspect this die was flawed, though, because it had a major tendency to consistently land on "2," at least until I broke it in.

N3B: Stats are posted. Let me know if you want any rerolls.
How do you break in a die, anyway? Roll out all the bad rolls before you start? However you did it, it seems to have worked pretty well.
Sinim: I know that Bumblebee gets fixed by the end of the first movie. The problem is how badly he does get wrecked in the final battle, which is the only real action sequence he gets between getting his vocalizer fixed and the end of the film. Since I don't know the events of the second movie yet, this is the only reasonable plot point to drop him into where he has a working vocalizer. Otherwise, he may wind up in a place where they don't broadcast radio signals, which would turn him mute.
On second thought, that might be a fun thing to do. ;D
I'm still trying to figure out how to scale his stats with everyone else. That's probably the biggest challenge with developing the character at this point. They're either going to be overwhelmingly higher than everyone else, or scaled down to everyone else's level (which would make him pretty fragile for a giant robot). If he existed in a vacuum world where there were only giant robots, this wouldn't be an issue. The complicating factor is the presence of human characters to provide a comparative baseline.
Any suggestions from the peanut gallery (any of you) as to how to confront or skirt this issue would be appreciated. Otherwise, I think I may have to ask you to choose someone else.
As for Bowser, I tend to subscribe to his more modern depictions ratehr than the oldschool SMBs. I tend to use the size scaling seen in Paper Mario, Mario RPG, Smash Bors, the Mario sports titles, etc. as a baseline (which conveniently provides a stat baseline as well), rather than his "boss monster" depictions, as more often than not he has been extraordinarily empowered (The power of the Stars in Mario 64, the evil paint power or whatever in Sunshine, the power of the CORE OF THE FREAKING UNIVERSE in Galaxy (even though he's not that big in the game, but I digress)).
