Draxas, I suspect the other character you're talking about is Guile and it was some kind of round house kick. Though I swear a direction button was involved.

AltL: Guile is indeed the character I was looking for. His standing medium kick has him doing a some sort of crazy handstand. Since I'm bored with the question already, and you're close enough, I've added the point to your tally.
New question:
Secret of Evermore (SNES): Several characters from the Final Fantasy games make cameos in Secret of Evermore. The most obvious one is Cecil from FF4. However, much easier to miss is the cameo by several members of the cast of FF6. Where is their cameo appearance?

3) In Perfect Dark, which is the first level to start you out with an upgraded Falcon 2 (it being either silenced or scoped)?

The very first level, in fact, starts you with a silenced F2. The scoped version first appears as a starting weapon in level 3.

What computer game features music by Sum 41 and Span?

So, was I right?
Sum 41 and Span? Sounds like a Madden or Burnout game.
No response for Secret of Evermore, huh? I guess I'll dump that question then.
Answer: The FF6 cast members are sitting in the crowd in the colosseum.
On the subject of music:
Quake (PC): What well known musician supplied the music for the game?

I had hoped to trick you, but you were indeed correct.
As for Quake, I believe something to do with NIN or Mudvayne some other fake metal band.
I should also mention that neither Madden nor Burnout is correct to Sum 41 and Span.

A game with music from Span and Sum 41? That's an Obscure question.
Also, never played Secret of Evermore.

Pending whether or not AltL got that question right. My answer was a shot in the dark, so I suppose it's not surprising that I don't know the actual answer.
As for Quake, the answer is Trent Reznor. Considering that he and NIN are one and the same, that's good enough for me. Then again, it was a pretty easy question if you've played the game for any length of time; the NIN logo is stamped on the side of every crate of nails in the game.
Here's another goofy question for ya:
Ratchet & Clank (PS2): The RYNO is a fearsome weapon that's also a fun acronym. What does RYNO stand for?

Haven't played Ratchet and/or Clank.
In Super Mario World (SNES), what is the yellow Yoshi's special ability?

Mortal Kombat II (Genesis/SNES/etc): When landing a hard uppercut or a long chain of combos in MKII a fellow would pop onto the screen and say "Toasty," what is his name?
Edit: accidentally used backslash to close my bold tags instead of forward.
Edit2: Yellow Yoshi spits lightning. (Honestly I should remember what he actually does).

As for yellow Yoshi, he creates small earthquakes when he lands on the ground.
And Mr. Toasty is Tobias, one of the lead team members for the game. I forget his first name though.

New question:
Super Mario RPG (SNES): There are two famous Nintendo characters who make cameo appearances during the game that are not associated with the Mario series. Who are they?

Although Mr. Tobias was one of the creators of Mortal Kombat, he's not Mr. Toasty.
