i am so bruised, sore, can't walk, just got my voice back but my throat still hurts, have the most painful neck, and my ears are still ringing.. but that was the best concert EVER.
thanks, rage against the machine. i've never seen a band get a crowd going so much. zach gave us the coolest speech. and cause he can't get in trouble for it here, he said your president should be assassinated and the entire government should be charged with war crimes. nice little notion.

it was pretty awesome i have to say. their performance was perfect, tom morello was insane. his solo project earlier in the day was cool too, he brought out serj tankian to do a song with him.
my throat still hurts from singing along at the top of my lungs. zach just like. stood there with the biggest "oh man" look on his face when we sung half of killing in the name of for him.
we got them to come out for an encore by chanting "[CENSORED] you i won't do what you tell me", fists in the air as well. that was brilliant. oh lordy. i can only hope i get to go to another concert as good as that in my life.

I heard about them getting back together, but sadly no concerts in my area. Not that the average RATM fan is anyone I want to be even remotely close to. \-:

oh come on, you have to enjoy that. it's so intense and energetic, even though you come out of it in intense pain.

I love the music, but I can't stand the fans - it's that simple.

every energetic band is bound to have brilliant brutal pits to accompany them, and along with that comes sweaty shirtless dudes slamming into eachother. you're missing out on a lot of pointless aggression you can unleash on random people by not joining in speaking of that.. still can't walk properly. My English II prof was great, but he was always spacing out and losing words, or just being excessively absent-minded, and he agreed that it was probably due to his excessive drug use and moshing while on said drugs. I'd rather not end up like that. Plus he had the ponytail w/ bald spot, which is totally not cool. d-:

BTW Niff, out of curiosity, have you tried playing any drums? I just picked up a djembe (african hand drum) and I've been using my beatboxing experience to teach myself the set, but I'm not making much headway given that I only have access to a set once every week or so. Anyway, I was just curious, since you seem to have started moving in the multi-instrumentalist direction. Plus I need some multi-instrumentalist/beginning drummer insight, which, due to the its specificity, is in short supply. d-:

yeah i play drums about averagely. however, only half my body truly cooperates without me having to strain myself and concentrate really hard. my rhythm with two hands after years of tapping on desks is pretty bloody good i have to say, but my legs are the difficult part to keep in sync. if you're having trouble with that kinda stuff, play one part, then slowly add in a second part and see if you can keep it up. if not, slow it down, then work it out at a really slow tempo then slowly get up to speed.. but i'm sure you know that already, it's kind of a staple to learning any instrument.
wish i had more access to a kit, but i think drums are honestly the only instrument you can get better with by pretending you're playing them.
