Ranger headed out of the warchief's hut, and emerged into a scene on carnage. Dead orcs, or in many cases pieces of them, were strewn about the entrance of the hut, along with a healthy smattering of green blood. As Gulg came up behind him, he muttered something in Orcish, and idly kicked at one of the bodies.
Fortunately, there did not seem to be any living orcs nearby; either Gulg had nearly singlehandedly exterminated all of the defenders of the encampment, or the remainder had wised up enough to stay far away from him.

"Would you rather take the main gate or out the sideway?" Ranger asked the shaman.

"At this point, it probably matters very little," responded the shaman, "You two have proven more than capable of slaughtering anything that stands in your way. However, I suspect you will not be able to convince Gulg to skulk around and sneak away; he'll more than likely insist on sotrming the gates again instead once he figures out what you're doing."

"Good point. Lets make for the gates then." Ranger said. He took off at a light run for the main gates.

East or west? West is the one that Gulg busted through before, but will require you to circle back around the encampment later.

West it is then.

The strange group of three headed for the western gate of the encampment. Ranger was rather surprised to reach it a short while later with no interference from the locals; apparently any orcs that had the motivation to fight were among the piles of corpses that lined their route, or thought better of it when they saw said piles of corpses. Truly, though, Gulg had done quite an horrific job of elininating all resistance; in some areas the stacks of bodies (or parts of them) were as tall as his waist, and in others, the corpses were arranged in a circle around a blood-spattered center where the attackers had apparently attempted to surround him, to little avail. Ranger shuddered inwardly to this of the mighty orc at the peak of his insane fighting fury...
With little ceremony, the group arrived at the gate. Unsurprsingly, it seemed to be as abandoned as the rest of the encampment.

Ranger strode out the gates with party in town and made for the woods nearby that they had used to sneak around this side in.

It seemed that the orcs were out to lunch, and the group made it away from the encampment without incident.

Ranger and his rag-tag group made quickly through the forest cutting around the side of the encampment again towards hopefully their road home.

As the group came back around past the eastern end of the settlement, Ranger could clearly see several of the last orcs attempting to mount a defense at the eastern gate, illuminated as they were by the sentinel torches. They were apparently unable to see the three sneaking past them in the gloom, and made no moves to intercept.
After a short time heading eastward, the encampment was little more than a cluster of buildings in the distance, that glowed with a bit of distant torchlight. And already, the sky began to lighten as dawn approached...

Ranger kept pressing on. Soon enough though they would need to stop to rest a bit if merely to let the shaman get his strength back.

The trio continued back towards the east in silence, leaving the encampment far behind. Save for the rather spectacular sunrise, nothing of note occurred on their way; it seemed that the orcs were not terribly interested in pursuing them any longer.

Ranger set the goblin down and dropped off some of his gear as well.
"Short of our elites dying we came out of that pretty well," Ranger said,"I realize you had as much price on your head as I did and Gulg was out for blood but I think we made a great team back there and I want to thank you for helping me with my ordeal. We'll rest here for a bit so that we can all gather our wits about us. We may still yet need them if Suryan's guard has stepped up patrols."

"Far be it from me to say no," replied the shaman, "I think one of my legs is broken."
"While I have a great appreciation for the fact that I am still alive, it is a shame that we did not all make it. Those two have stood by my side for years, and were fine and loyal warriors. However, it cannot be denied that you are quite the warrior yourself. I think even Gulg may have been impressed." Both glanced at the massive orc, who had laid down in the grass to rest. For the first time, Ranger noted that he looked genuinely tired; apparently even orcish death machines have their limits, and Gulg's had been reached after an entire night of nonstop slaughter, apparently.
"It will be good to rest for a short while," continued the shaman, "But indeed, we should not stay here for long. As you say, there are foes nearby other than orcs, and they may be more willing to pursue us."
