Greetings, heroes, villains, and videogame characters of all shapes, sizes, and ages! And welcome to the Clash of Realities!
In the various universes that make up videogames, things tend to be fairly predictable. Certain things are expected to happen, and most things tend to revolve around the lives and activities of the elite few, known as "heroes" and "villains." Events in the average life in one of these universes tends to be contingent on what those heroes and villains are doing at any given moment, and most of the interesting things that occur in these universes can be directly traced to the activities of a member of one of the two categories. In fact, in some universes, even the sun will fail to set until the heroes decide they wish to rest...
But a question lingers in the minds of a select few. What happens if the walls between universes get breached? What happens to a universe that is suddenly devoid of heroes or villains? What sort of influence can these heroes and villains have in a universe that they don't belong in, and don't understand? Unbeknownst to those that will soon answer this question, the fabric of reality is beginning to tear...

THRALL
Thrall awoke with a sputtering cough as he spat out sand and seawater. He shook the encroaching darkness from his sight as he used his staff to leverage himself up from the beach, and lamented what a disaster this journey had been so far.
The sea hag had been vanquished by his hand, but her final curse had proved to be potent even after her death. The storm had surged over their ship, which had already been separated from the others, and had battered the makeshift vessel until it could no longer take the strain. It had snapped in half across the main deck, sending everyone and everything on board plunging into the icy depths. Thrall had tried to stay afloat, but had been knocked out and pushed under by debris from the sinking ship...
He now found himself on an unknown beach, unsure even of how he had survived. It seemed that half of his ruined vessel had washed ashore here as well, along with a few surprisingly intact crates of cargo, an even larger amount of shattered flotsam, and the bodies of a few of his fellows, Orc and Troll alike, all apparently drowned from the disaster. He looked inland, and saw the sandy beach abruptly transition into thick forests, with only a small and apparently little used trail leading inward. A small number of Orcs and Trolls stood nearby the trail, apparently not having taken notice of him yet, but what had happened to the others was a mystery.
Thrall groaned as he realized the extent of what was missing. His ship had ben separated from the rest of the commandeered vessels shortly after they had embarked, and Grom and the rest of the Horde could have made landfall anywhere. Snowfang had been aboard his ship when it sank, and he had not seen any sign of the wolf since. The mighty hammer and armor he had inherited from Doomhammer had been crated for storage on the ship, and unless he was fortunate enough that it had washed ashore with him, he expected that they were at the bottom of the ocean by now.
With the exception of the small band at the trail, Thrall was alone, and couldn't even be sure he had reached his destination at all...

LUCARIO
Lucario sat and meditated inside the small cave he called his home. He had been here near the summit of this icy peak, honing his skills, for longer than he cared to remember. He tempered his body into the ultimate weapon, both through his training as well as defending this place from any who dared approach. It seemed that this day would be no different.
Lucario rose slowly as the noise outside increased to a deafening racket. Others had come to despoil the tranquility of his place or to challenge him before, but usually he sensed them before any other trace of their coming was apparent. This was different: there was clearly something huge outside, but he could sense nothing from it. Only a lone presence could be felt as it scaled the mountain. Lucario mused that the timing of the two events was not likely to be coincidence...

BUMBLEBEE
Bumblebee's processor snapped online as his auto-repair systems brought him out of stasis lock. His optics flared to life as he sat up from a small crater filled with bits of wreckage from his escape pod. He wondered just how long he had been offline as he took in hi surroundings. He seemed to have landed in a sparse forest, as he could see some kind of industrial complex through the trees not far away. No doubt it had helped slow his landing, as well as deter investigations from the locals; both were probably good things, as there could very easily be Decepticons nearby.
Their scout ship had encountered a Decepticon light cruiser as they entered the system, and both raced toward Zel Samine. As they reached high orbit, they began exchanging fire, but it didn't last long. Something had interefered with the ship's systems and they speedily lost all power. As their orbit started to decay and they began reentry, the damage from the battle caused the ship's heat shielding to fail, and it started coming apart in the atmosphere. Everyone headed for the escape pods, and as they launched, they were scattered across the planet. Bumblebee had seen the Decepticon ship also going down from the pod, but he didn't have time to enjoy that for long, as the power to his pod failed shortly afterward. The last thing he remebered was the increaing G-forces as he sped toward the planet's surface...
And now he was here, seemingly no worse for wear. He had no idea where the rest of the scout team was, or how they were going to get off of this planet, however, and the threat of the Decepticons was very real; Bumblebee assumed they would have ejected from their ship as it was going down as well. On top of that, he still had a mission to locate the mysterious Zel Quartz...

Still stiff from meditation Lucario cracked his neck as he stopped at the entrance of his cave home high on the mountain. With long ears flattened to his head to deaden the noise, he stretched his legs and braced himself with a paw on the wall while a frigid breeze ruffled his fur. Taking several slow breaths of the burning cold air he watched and felt for the strange new presence approaching the summit. No matter what, he wasn't about to let his home... this land, be destroyed by this descending dark aura, nor by some random invader. He would guard this mountain with every last ounce of his life... as he had for many years past, against countless glory seekers.

LUCARIO
As he watched from the mouth of the cave, a great darkness descended upon the mountain as the noise grew ever greater. It was so loud now that the peak itself shook with the vibration, but still there was a void in Lucario's perception where the source of the darkness should be. He wondered what could be so huge as to blot out the sun, yet not have thoughts that he could sense...
All the while, the presence climbing the mountain drew steadily closer. It moved even more quickly now, almost as if the sheer cliffs and treacherous crags were but a gentle grade. Lucario sensed that this one would reach the peak soon. After such a long period of solitude, he was now sure that the convergence of both events must be tied together.

Shaking his head, bumblebee ran a full systems check. Self repairs were nearly complete. What could have caused the power failure, he wondered. It was time to move. He would stick to the trees an head in the direction of the complex. It was a good a place as any to start searching. The trees in the immediate area appeared sparse enough to manuver. Stepping out of the crater, Bumblebee transformed into his small car form and headed off to search for his objective...and his friends.

Thrall breathed a heavy sigh, clutching at the side of his head as he leaned against his staff. "Spirits forgive me...and watch over Hellscream and his men..."
He slowly righted himself, turning for a moment to observe the wreckage behind him. "Is this...Kalimdor? If the prophet spoke falsely, I will ensure that he suffers wrath like no other." The orcish warchief turned back towards the trail, once more casting his gaze across the barren landscape of this strange new land.
"We must find the others...we must find Hellscream." His eyes turned downwards again, his voice dropping as he moved towards the trail. "Doomhammer, old friend...forgive me. If I am indeed worthy of the gifts you left me, I am sure you will see them back to me, and see to the safety of my people."
As he approached the surviving orcs and trolls, he called out to them. "What news of the other ships? What of Grommash's fleet?"

With a snarl Lucario growled at this looming menace once again. Nothing made sense about this, there were legendary pokemon that possessed such power, but why would they set their wrath upon him and if it were them why couldn't he sense them? And what of this new presence, why was it so... hollow, and why for the love of mew could it move up the treacherous terrain so easily...?!
With one last grimace of pain from the deafening cacophony Lucario Shook his head to clear it and thought it best if he investigate once again. While the dark aura continued to shroud the mountain he knew he could do nothing about it at the moment, so with his ears still plastered to his head he would head out of his home. Cautiously he hiked towards the approaching presence, wondering if it had something to do with the dark aura, and perhaps... if it's defeat would return his precious home to normal.

BUMBLEBEE
Bumblebee drove only a short distance before the forest broke, and the sprawling complex stretched out before him. Judging from the network of windmills and turbines now visible, the facility was apparently some sort of wind power generation plant. However, despite what appeared to be perfectly and smoothly functioning equipment, the entire facility seemed to be abandoned from what he could see.

Bumblebee sat for a minute wondering. There was no visible signs of life, but that didn't necessarily mean there wasn't any. He knew better than to let his guard drop for even a moment. Still, maybe this facility has some sort of communication equipment. It would help if he could somehow contact home base and alert them of the situation. Perhaps prime could send reinforcements with some equipment. Taking one last good look, bumblebee proceeded onward.

THRALL
At the sound of the spoken question, all of the guards turned towards him, startled.
"Warchief!" stammered one of the grunts, "We thought you had drowned! The Witch Doctor had said it was too late..."
He quickly regained his composure, and continued, "We have seen no sign of the others so far. Some of the other survivors have started to scout inland for a better place to make camp, but nobody has returned, so we remain here to guard the supplies and the dead."
As Thrall listened to the account, he was distracted by a voice that spoke into his mind, "Warchief Thrall. I have sensed your arrival, though the journey appears to have been difficult. You now stand in Kalimdor. Tread carefully, but quickly. Our time is short, and I must speak with you in person. You will be able to sense my location."
And so it was, as a beacon blazed out in Thrall's mind's eye. The prophet was quite far inland, and Thrall saw the image of a cave opening leading inside a mighty mountain...

Thrall furrowed his brow, his head shaking. "We must honor the dead by ensuring our survival. Here in Kalimdor, we will make a home for our people. Gather what you can carry for the journey...we must head inland. The spirits have shown me our destination."
He straightened himself, taking a few steps down the trail. "...and we will find the others, I am sure of it."

LUCARIO
As Lucario stepped out of the cave, the source of both the noise and the darkness became readily apparent. Above the mountain, but so close it nearly scraped the peak, was an enormous flying vessel, so huge it blotted out the sun. Lucario could make out even fine details of pipes and access hatches it was so close, but had no way of telling what the entire thing looked like.
His attention was diverted back to the mountain face as the presence reached his level. With a flash of wings and steel, a small, round, creature the likes of which he had never seen before stood before him. It seemed to consist of little more than a ball with large gloves, boots, and bat-like wings protruding outward, and its face and body were covered entirely by a steel mask with only a narrow slit across where red eyes blazed outward. Even as he watched, its wings folded into a cape-like shape on its back and it drew a seven-branch sword seemingly from nowhere.
The demand that followed was more sensed than heard over the deafening racket.
"Stand aside!"

Lucario's eyes grew wide as he saw the enormity of the ship. Surely he was seeing things... There was no possible way for that enormous of a steel... "thing" to fly, right? Humans had never managed a feet of such magnitude so far as he knew.
Worry started to coarse through lucario's mind as he watched the ship continue onward, if it collided with the earth... it would be disaster, but before he could decide on a course of action the voice in his head caught his attention. The blue triangles perked towards the person, followed quickly by him turning to face the presence he had felt before.
"Who are you...? What are you doing here?" Lucario demanded with a growl in response, turning to face what he assumed was some kind of hideous mistake of a jigglypuff evolution. "Leave this place at once!" He finished as he moved his feet into a guarding stance, readying for some form of attack, as almost all of his previous intruders had fought first and asked questions later...
