"More dust up here than in the whole state of Missouri," Edward said. The attic was certainly an interesting place -- lots of antiques and boxes which no doubt contained more pleasant surprises for him. He wondered how long the Hartwoods had been collecting this junk in the Derceto mansion -- generations, perhaps? Regardless, he was here to do a job. As curious as he was about what treasures may lay upstairs in the dusty attic, he realized the sun was going down, and that he'd best finish this job as quickly and professionally as possible. Edward moved to the piano and began running over it with his eyes, investigating its structural design and the wear and tear on it. Could bring in a fair price, he thought, and continued investigating the piano.

Bumblebee decided it was time to search the facility more thoroughly. He quickly transformed. This would help him keep a lower profile and help avoid frightening any natives that may still be around. He needed to know if there were any other around. Maybe there would be something else here...like weaponry or communications. Something that could help him.

Still out of breath as the creature began to ascend the mountain again Lucario looked briefly around at the snow. 'I know it was here somewhere...' He thought before punching a paw down into a stash of his and pulling out an oran berry. Quickly, so as not to fall behind he popped the juicy goodness in his mouth and immediately started to feel much better. With that taken care of he would then dart to catch up to meta knight, running as fast as his canid legs would take him towards the mountain's summit, and even deciding to throw in a small flip or two upon leaping up random crags.

EDWARD CARNBY
The workmanship on the piano was quite lovely, despite the piece having been in storage for some time, judging from the dust. As he opened the key protector, however, he heard a subtle rattle from underneath the keys. He ran his hand along the underside, and quickly found a small switch beneath the wood. It dropped down a small drawer as he triggered it, and Edward bent down to examine the contents more closely. However, it seemed the only thing inside was a single neatly folded sheet of paper.

BUMBLEBEE
Bumblebee changed to vehicle mode and followed the concrete structure further. He had spotted a tall structure among the windmills that seemed to not have any power generating purpose, so he surmised that it could be a communications antenna. If he could use that, he could try to contact some of his comrades.
However, as he drew closer, he spotted several large figures in the distance. It seemed that there were more Insecticon clones about up ahead. A couple were in robot mode, sabotaging the equipment so that several more in insect form could feed... Bumblebee counted 5 in total. Fortunately, the rather dim clones were not particularly observant and didn't seem to be looking for him. Unfortunately, there was still no sign of the actual Insecticons...

THRALL
Thrall uses a Potion of Healing. Thrall's HP have been completely restored.
Thrall felt refreshed as he downed the draught, and set into the task of tracking the hoofprints with renewed vigor. Fortunately, despite the carnage and general chaos that had occurres in this spot, the hoofprints definitely seemed to continue to follow the trail away from the beach.

LUCARIO
Lucario uses an Oran Berry. Lucario recovers 10 HP.
Lucario felt a surge of renewed energy after eating the berry, and began to leap up the mountain peak in pursuit of Meta Knight. However, the airship began to pick up speed and pull away from the mountain even faster than before.
Meta Knight Reached the summit, and Lucario caught up moments later. But the distance would be far to great to leap to the ship.
Meta Knight unfurled his wings to their full extension, which was several times larger than his body.
"Ready to fly?" he asked, "It's our only shot now."

"Oh, what's this," Edward said as he caught the loosely folded piece of paper. He began to read through the frantic, half-legible words. Why, this looks like a suicide note, he thought. He continued reading and found the signature "Jeremy" signed at the very bottom. A faint, faded drop of dark red splotched the bottom corner, as if most of the color had been drained from it. A spot of blood, perhaps. "This may change things," he said to himself as he pocketed the letter. "I'd better go show this to the young Emily Hartwood. Zamboni will have to wait for this piano," and he made for the stairs down from the attic.

Lucario only gave a small nod of agreement to the tiny ball creature. He had never really flown before... Much less under the power of a smaller creature, but those wings did look impressive... Either way he was right, it was their only hope. Lucario would offer a paw, but as they took off Lucario would give as powerful a leap as he could, trying to assist in their flight by allowing his ride to conserve energy.

"Forward!"
Thrall once more continued to lead his small force in pursuit of the hoofprints, in the hope that he would reunite with more of his people.

Bumblebee could not stand by and let the clones continue. However, five may be a bit much to take on at once. He had to find some way to even the odds. Hmm... it was an old trick, but these clones were pretty stupid. Bumblebee quickly transformed and picked up a rock and threw it against a structure in the distance away from him in an effort to draw off at least some of the clones. It was a good throw and he could hear a clank in the distance.

EDWARD CARNBY
Edward obtains Jeremy's Letter.
Looking up from the note, Edward was struck by the strangeness of the note itself. He knew this place had a history of sending its residents to the looney bin atop all of the other sordid deeds, but the note seemed to ramble about hellish forces and an unnamed master. Edward chalked it up to the witchcraft mumbo-jumbo that surrounded the place, but it was still a bit unsettling.
As he stored away the paper in his coat pocket, the last rays of dusk dipped below the horizon. Though the full moon still shone through the window, the attic became noticably darker with the setting of the sun. Edward decided not to dally any further...
Abruptly, Edward heard a groaning from behind him. He spun around, not expecting anyone else in the mansion at all, but the attic remained unoccupied save for him. However, an instant after he had relaxed the slightest bit from the startle, he heard the groaning again. It seemed to be coming from below the floorboards...
Suddenly, the trap door near the chest began to rattle, as if someone were trying to open it, but couldn't manage the mechanism...

LUCARIO
Lucario offered his paw, and Meta Knight grabbed it with his free hand as he took off. Lucario helped extend the starting leap as best he could, but it was no use. The airship was gaining speed, and they were losing ground in the air.
Without warning, Meta Knight dropped into a steep dive toward the mountain again. He shouted, but Lucario could not hear what was said. Instead, in his mind he sensed the words:
"They're going to fire at us!"
Lucario had only a split second to glance at the airship for the threat, but glimpsed a large and threatening cannon protruding from the underside of the airship, glowing with energy as it prepared to fire. However, he was yanked into a steep dive as a resounding blast sounded from the weapon. He lost his grip on Meta Knight as a sphere of inky blackness hurtled forth and slammed into the mountain. As he fell, a sphere of dark energy engulfed the peak of the mountain, and him along with it...
Lucario fell in total darkness for a few more moments before impacting heavily against ground he could not see. In fact, all around him was a featureless void of black; there was no sign of Meta Knight, the gigantic airship, or even the mountain. Only darkness surrounded him, and he could not see nor sense anything at all...

THRALL
Thrall's troops fell in behind him, and they followed the path of hoofprints and carnage along the trail once again. However, it was not long before the sounds of battle reached their ears.
Hurrying forward, Thrall spotted a battle in progress. A small knot of Centaurs were performing a coordinated strike against a huge creature the likes of which Thrall had never seen before; it seemed to resemble a bull that walked upright, and swung gigantic fists in an attempt to ward off its attackers. However, the Centaurs struck from 3 angles at once. One of them was smashed aside by the impact of a fist as large as its head, but the other two struck with axes that bit deeply into the creature's flesh. With a groan, their target toppled over into the dust and lay still.
One of the Centaurs immediately set to looting the corpse of the creature, while the other trotted over to body of its fallen fellow and liberated its axe before starting to search that corpse more thoroughly as well.

BUMBLEBEE
As the rock glanced off of a metal object somewhere out of view, the clones fell for the ruse hook, line, and sinker. The two clones in robot mode took note of the sound, and both walked off to investigate. The three in insect form, however, continued to drain energy from the system, and remained behind.
