I wasn't sure if we were counting similar items of distinct names, I'd vote for just because the question gets ridiculous otherwise. If this were my math midterm you would have failed for not be explicit. </bitterness about getting a question marked wrong for not writing "x∈R">

My two recent submission were posed more as discussion questions than trivia questions++

Ah, I see. Working on some sort of Zelda trivia compilation?

Thought of another for N3B: Malon calls you Fairy Boy in OoT
The item on the 100% completion list that doesn't need to be 100% complete to receive credit is the weapon fusion list. MIO even acknowledges this in her description of it.
In a desperate attempt to get people other than Mr. WoW Goldman to post again (this is about the fifth time I've had to erase a multitude of topics, and I'm seriously considering disabling guest posting because of it; your thoughts?), here's a new trivia question:
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GB Color): The reward at the end of the Color Dungeon is your choice of a red or blue tunic. Each has an effect mechanically identical to items that exist elsewhere in the game. What do the tunics do, in terms of those related items?
Hopefully that wasn't worded too confusingly.

So very, very dead. Seems me and Goldman are the only posters for almost a month.
The Red Tunic grants a permanent Piece of Power. The Blue Tunic grants a permanent Guardian Acorn.
There seems to be a lot of Zelda-centric trivia here. Case in point:
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES): There are plenty of items that are not required to finish the game, even if they do make your life easier. List as many as you can!

Who's Goldman, Niffz0r?
Bugnet, bottles, mushroom, magic powder, fire rod, ice rod, sword medallions, weapon/shield/tunic upgrades?

Goldman is the spammer posting long, rambling, irrelevant stories that inevitably end (or are liberally peppered with) ads for WoW gold. It's annoying as hell, and I seem to regularly delete topics because of it recently.
As for your answers, only a few are correct:
The Bug Catching Net, Bottles, Mushroom, and Magic Powder are the only wholly optional items on the list. I'm not going to remark about the various large groupings unless you split them up.
The Fire Rod and Ice Rod are entirely incorrect answers. The Fire Rod is required for several torch lighting puzzles in the Dark World dungeons, and both rods are required in order to defeat Trinexx at the end of Turtle Rock.
Suffice to say, many more items remain.

I was going to guess at the pegasus boots, but they're needed to get that Green Book to get into the third dungeon of TLW (the desert one).
By upgrades I mean like, I don't think you NEED the *magic* boomerang, or the *magic* shield, or the *tempered* master sword, or the bigger bomb bag, or the bigger quiver, or even the upgraded tunics. Sort of like how you don't *need* more than 3 hearts.
Is the Bow and Arrow *needed*? I know the dungeon in which you get it, you can kill those eye baddies with bombs and pots, and the final boss can be taken out with your sword. The only question is if you need the silver arrows to kill Ganon at the end, like in the original LOZ (thus questioning also if you that that Uber Green Bomb).

I had pretty much forgotten about this question, glad someone else didn't.
All of these answers are correct, in fact. This is sort of what I was getting at.
The Bow, however, is necessary, because you do need Silver Arrows to defeat Ganon. So yes, the Super Bomb is also required.

Zelda: Lampshade (PC): What is your reward for returning the Mystical Lampshade to the Temple of Light?

OK, now you're just being silly.

Zelda Lampshade is sort of a real game.
An amateur flash game on Newgrounds that parodies the trading sequence. Quite good quality actually, easy, simple gameplay, takes maybe 10 minutes to play.

Made by Nintendo?
.....
Didn't think so.
Do you know how many obscure Share/Freeware PC games, or random arcade games, there are to ask impossible questions about? Reccommending a game is one thing, super random trivia is quite another.
That being said, if anyone knows the answer, feel free to jump on that question.

How about a challenge then?
OOT: Complete the Shadow Temple (preferably in Master Quest) without using the Lens of Truth. If you don't actually want to try it / can't get around to it, just ponder it.
Fallout (PC): What're the requirements to get the Dog to follow you as an NPC?
