MAGUS
You're still playing the wrong version. I was afraid something like this would happen... Remember, what you know, and what Magus knows, are two totally different things.
The clerk quickly changed from a plastic smile to a puzzled look, "Look man, this is a 24/7 convenience store. I don't know what you think we're selling here, but it sure as hell ain't drugs. If you want to buy a slurpee, that's in the back. Cigarettes are behind the counter. And snack cakes are over in aisle 2. If you're looking for something else, you better look somewhere else."

Magus exited the store, once again frustrated. With no idea where to turn, he idly wandered the streets . . .

Pikachu could tell his friends were keeping watch. Since he had already taken several naps himself that day, he chose to remain awake and keep watch with his friends.

MAGUS
Frustrated, Magus continued down the street. Before too long the roadway rounded a corner to the right. On this corner was a small bar. A flickering neon sign identified it as the "Grim Reaper Club" and featured a small neon moving figure of Death, swinging a scythe.

PIKACHU
The cart rumbled on, and not much happened for several hours...
Until, unexpectedly, they began to slow to a stop. Several people seemed surprised by this, and some conversation broke out among those on board, waking everyone else up. Beyd rose, and climbed up to speak with the driver...

Something important may be happening now. He tugged on Magda's arm. Hoping that if anything were happening, she would make sure he could understand what was going on.

Magus calmly strolled into the bar, when everyone fell silent. Walking over to the bar attendant, he quickly queried(sp?) him.
"I'm looking for someone in authority. Someone with connections. Know anyone like that here?" The speechless bar attendant pointed over into the corner.
"There's a mis-mister j-j-johnson over there!" Nodding appreciatively, Magus slid five nuyen across the counter.
"Thanks." Turning he strode over to where the bartender had pointed.
"Mr. Johnson?"

PIKACHU
Magda shrugged in response. Most everyone else seemed comfused as well...
Before long, Beyd came down from speaking with the driver, and addressed the assembled. He was met with a mixture of responses, ranging from anger to eye-rolling, but most of the assembled reached for weapons...
Pikachu was momentarily blinded by the flash of Magda's spell. "I hope you can hear me, because we've apparently been stopped by a team of bandits. Not very smart bandits either, if you ask me. Beyd wants us to split up. Most are going to take care of the idiots out front, but some of us need to stay back here and defend those that can't fight. It's your choice."

MAGUS
Magus strolled over to the table in the corner where the man identified as Mr. Johnson was sitting. He took note of the myriad of suspicious glares from the clientele; while the bartender may have been afraid, the rest obviously were not. In particular, a rather large Orc was leaning up against the wall, glaring nastily...
Magus addressed the man, who looked up from his drink. "Yeah, fine," said Mr. Johnson, "Keep your voice down. What are you, some kind of shaman? Whatever, you'll do. I assume you're looking for a run."

"I've learned to never associate looks with power, my friend...but I must agree with Firebrand. You are certainly an odd-looking creature..." He lets out a short chuckle.

OOC: Wierd glitch, top of page loads at normal speed, but the rest takes like 5 minutes. I think it might have to do with the sidebar.
IC: "I'll perform your 'run', but I don't want Nuyen." Magus casually replied. Mr. Johnson leaned closer. A free run was always a good thing.
"I want information. I do your run, you get me the information I want. Deal?" Mr. Johnson stuck out his hand.
"Deal."

Raynor made a few patrols and then headed back to the cells to check on his little helper. He found him still out cold on the floor. Thinking a little harder he locked him up in the cell so he wouldn't go tell any of his buddies. He had gained a little insight and direction from wandering now it was time to start looking in the doors he made off to a pair of doors he had seen. He made to open them...
OOC: Mainframe Computer doors.

RAZIEL
Spekkio pauses for a moment, before responding, "Well, my outward appearance changes to reflect the abilities of the observer, so the strong see me as strong, and the weak see me as weak... But I don't know what to say to you two. Perhaps the strange see me as strange!"
"Regardless, with things turning out the way they did, I've decided to help to make the most of those who have joined in the gathering. I take it you two are willing participants?"
